Free app SnapPost lets you sell on eBay just by taking pictures with your iPhone

SANTA CRUZ, Calif., Nov. 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- SnapPost, the easiest way to sell on eBay, today announced that the SnapPost app is available free in the Apple App Store, and there will be no fees to use SnapPost in 2015 for anyone who installs it in November. The SnapPost app lets novice eBay sellers take a few pictures of an item they'd like to sell and get it posted on eBay with an expert description, a researched price, and professionally selected keywords to help the item sell quickly.    SnapPost is primarily targeted at the novice or first time eBay seller, who has found the process of selling on eBay too daunting or time-consuming.  "I'd never sold on eBay before I found SnapPost," said Beth Bakerman.  "I've listed a handful of items, and already sold two. One item I found in a drawer sold for $100!  I just take a few pictures, and SnapPost creates an eBay listing which I can approve or edit, and then the listing goes live on my eBay account."

The inspiration for SnapPost came from the Company's founder, Suzanne Wouk, who as an eBay expert was always being asked by friends and family to sell their stuff on eBay.  She decided to build an app and service to make it easy for anyone to sell on eBay and succeed like an expert.

"I've been selling on eBay for 20 years, and I've learned a lot about what works and what doesn't work.  The most important aspect of an eBay listing is the choice of eywords.  A buyer can't buy your product if they can't find it using the keywords which come to their mind. The second most important aspect are the photos. Most novice sellers don't take enough photos and they don't take the right photos."

The SnapPost App incorporates the expertise of eBay veterans by leading the user through the process of taking a series of photos on their iPhone.   The photo flow captures what beginning eBay sellers often miss in their photos:  the backs of items, close-ups of tags and labels, blemishes, certificates of authenticity, etc.  The photos go to SnapPost to be turned into an eBay listing for free.

Unlike many iPhone Apps which rely entirely on automation SnapPost combines great server technology with live human experts who create the listing.   SnapPost experts use sophisticated tools to identify items, research the price at which comparable items have sold, select keywords, and create the copy for your item.

"Almost everyone has something in their closet or garage they'd sell if it was easy." Says Chris Risley a SnapPost investor, "SnapPost makes it easy to list and ship your items when they sell.   SnapPost notifies you when your item has been bought and paid for and provides you via eBay with a discount postage label addressed to your buyer.   At the same time, SnapPost sends you boxes to pack your item so all you have to do is tape the box closed and drop it in the mailbox."

SnapPost is free in the Apple App Store and everyone who uses it in November will not be charged any fees to use SnapPost in 2015.  Users can easily sell their stuff on eBay and generate holiday cash, or even sell their unwanted gifts on eBay after the holidays!
