Former Overstock.com Executive Padmakiran Guttikonda Named Chief Technology Officer of Joinem™Joinem (http://www.joinem.com/), the first community-powered digital retailer that enables savvy shoppers to buy together to lock in guaranteed savings off the lowest online prices on thousands of leading brands, today announced the appointment of Padmakiran Guttikonda ("GP") as Chief Technology Officer. In this role, GP will lead the development of Joinem's technology platform as well as innovate and implement new features to enhance the social commerce shopping experience. GP's hire solidifies Joinem's deep bench of expertise in the digital commerce arena. "GP brings a wealth of hands-on technical experience as well as a proven history and interest in retail innovation," said Darren Waxman, Joinem CEO and co-founder. "We're thrilled to welcome him on board." GP comes to Joinem from Angie's List, where he served as Vice President of Engineering, leading the company's team of 100+ engineers. Prior, he was Vice President of Software Development for Overstock.com, where he was responsible for management of all aspects of software development and testing at the site. Before that, he was the Development Manager of Optimization & Forecasting for Tomax Corporation, a leading cloud-based retail solutions suite. In addition to GP, the expanded management team now includes Christine English, Senior Vice President of Sourcing and Merchandising; Rene Gonzales, Vice President of Finance & Operations; and Monica Woo, Chief Marketing Officer. Joinem is led by executive chairman Rick Braddock (News - Alert), former Chairman/CEO of Priceline.com and former President and COO of Citigroup. Prior to her current role at Joinem, Ms. English assumed a leadership position at Woot.com (an Amazon company) as the Divisional Merchandise Manager, helping to launch the Home.Woot site while expanding product categories. Before that, she was the Divisional Merchandise Manager, Retail, Business and Web Channel Manager for CompUSA. Mr. Gonzales most recently served as Chief Financial Officer of Woot.com, and has held several other senior level finance positions at used vehicle management company Lanelogic. Ms. Woo held senior operating executive positions in several high-growth digital commerce businesses and global consumer goods companies, including President of the flagship floral division of 1-800-flowers.com, Chief Revenue Officer of FreshDirect (News - Alert).com, as well as President of Bacardi Global Brands.
