Fonality Heads Up Display Levels UpPLANO, Texas, Oct. 26, 2016 /PRNewswire/ -- Fonality gives the term "unified communications" another boost with the addition of six new features built into its Heads Up DisplayTM (HUD) platform. New HUD Web capabilities include two new transfer options, recording downloads, inline audio controls for recordings, and expanded notifications. The company also introduced an entirely new file sharing solution. Expanding on existing file sharing options, users now have a new interface that provides them the complete set of options to instantly share files with colleagues. Users can now share files from their computer or from major file sharing solutions such as Box, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive and Dropbox. "Our customers' files increasingly live in the cloud just like their phone system does. Our new file sharing solution provides the usability and functionality that will help customers collaborate better and with ease," says Ali Rizvi, Fonality's director of product management. "At the same time, our unanswered queue call transfer feature is invaluable. We've just handed customers the power to sell and service better with no additional cost to them." Fonality features get a +6 +1 Unanswered Queue Call Transfer. Exclusively for Fonality customers, when a queue call goes unanswered too long, queue managers can now transfer directly to an available agent or another team member. This feature enables Fonality customers to instantly reduce the number of abandoned calls and long wait times for callers. +2 Warm Transfer. Extends the existing transfer option by allowing the person transferring a call to let the recipient know who's calling and why. This greatly improves the customer experience, expedites customer service, or even just allows the transferring party to make sure they're sending the caller to the right place. +3 Recording Downloads. Users can now download voicemails and On-demand Recordings from within the VM & Recordings tab within HUD. Downloaded recordings can be saved or easily shared as appropriate. This is particularly useful for users who do not subscribe to Voicemail Transcription or who may have deleted the transcription email with recording. It's also great for saving training recordings or customer records. +4 Inline Audio Controls. All voicemail and call recording controls are now inline. The new recording download option is joined by Play, Call, and Delete for recordings. Voicemails add a fourth option, Mark Read/Unread. +5 Notification Count. For each missed chat, call or voicemail, the Fonality favicon (the "bar F" taken from the Fonality logo) on the user's browser tab transforms into a counter that's easy to spot even while working in other tabs. (This popular new notification supplements screen pop notifications that alert users to check HUD or answer a call when working in other web programs.) +6 File Sharing. Sharing a file from desktop, Google Drive, Microsoft OneDrive, Box or Dropbox is as easy hovering over an avatar photo and clicking Share File or clicking a paper clip image in an individual or group chat entry box. Choose where the file lives, and watch it go. Oh, yeah. Drag and drop still works, too. You say you don't know HUD? A Fonality survey conducted by Google Consumer Survey found that as much as 75 percent of time wasted can be recovered by implementing a cloud-based UC platform, which means a company employing roughly 50 knowledge workers could save as much as $942,500 annually. HUD is also almost endlessly customizable starting with add-ons like Video Collaboration, Voicemail Transcription and Advanced Call Center licenses. Through the power of integrations, Fonality also works with a range of additional tools from Salesforce to Zipwhip business SMS text messaging.
