Fish & Richardson Attorney Natalie Arbaugh Named Among Texas' Best

Fish & Richardson attorney Natalie Arbaugh of Dallas has been named by the publishers of Texas Lawyer newspaper to the Winning Women of 2014 list, which identifies the state's leading women lawyers.

Ms. Arbaugh, a principal at Fish, is one of only 19 attorneys honored on this year's list, which followed a five-month selection process that included readers' nominations and extensive research by Texas Lawyer editors. More than 150 attorneys were considered.

"Natalie is one of the top lawyers anywhere, so it is no surprise she is included in this outstanding group," says Tom Melsheimer, managing principal of Fish's Dallas office. "In addition to providing clients with top-notch legal skills, Natalie also mentors younger women lawyers to help position them for future success."

Known for representing clients in a variety of high-stakes civil lawsuits, Ms. Arbaugh also leads Fish's EMPOWER Women's Initiative, which provides expanded professional and business development opportunities, mentoring, training, and support to Fish's female legal staff. She also is a founding member of the women lawyer mentoring group ACT III and a member of Attorneys Serving the Community, which supports local nonprofit groups benefitting women, children and families.

Among her many legal accomplishments, Ms. Arbaugh helped win a record $158 million settlement in 2012 over the prescription drug Risperdal, representing the largest Medicaid fraud settlement in Texas history. Last year, she represented Dallas billionaire Mark Cuban in his successful defense of civil insider-trading claims filed by the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission.
