Financial director quits for Sasol role [Cape Times (South Africa)]

(Cape Times (South Africa) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ANGLO American Platinum (Amplats) financial director Bongani Nqwababa had resigned, the biggest producer of the precious metal said yesterday. He would continue to work at Amplats until he joined Sasol on March 1 next year. Nqwababa, who was appointed at Amplats in January 2009, would take over at Sasol from Paul Victor, who has been acting chief financial officer since Christine Ramon left the company in September last year. Nqwababa, who served on Sasol's board and audit committee, stepped down from that position on Friday. He is a former finance director of state-owned power utility Eskom and former chief financial officer of Royal Dutch Shell's southern Africa unit. Sasol's board appointed Nomgando Matyumza to fill the vacancy on the audit committee. - Bloomberg Cape Times (c) 2014 Independent Newspapers (Pty) Limited. All rights strictly reserved.
