FFA alumni play host to dinner, dance and auction

The Joseph FFA Alumni Association hosts its annual dinner, auction and dance March 9 at the Joseph Community Center.
Social hour begins at 5 p.m. and at 6 a barbecue tri-tip dinner complete with salad, baked potato, baked beans and a roll will be served.
A live and silent auction will feature vacation packages, guided fishing tours, gift certificates to restaurants, artwork by local artists and hand-made items by FFA students.
The Last Call band will take the stage after the completion of the live auction for dancing.
Tickets are $10 and available at the The Sports Corral and the Joseph High School office, from alumni, and at the door the night of the event.
This past year the Joseph FFA Alumni awarded two $1,000 Richard Surface Memorial Scholarships, three Joseph FFA Alumni college scholarships, supported the fat stock sale at both the Eastern Oregon Livestock Show and the Wallowa County Fair, paid for a substitute teacher during the senior ag trip plus $700 of the trip's expense, and sponsored Joseph Junior Rodeo awards.
The Associations' dues are $20 a year to be a state and national member. To make a donation, mail it to Treasurer Bonnie Marks, Joseph FFA Alumni Association,
