Extra Space Storage Locations Earn LEED Gold Certification

SALT LAKE CITY, Nov. 24, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Extra Space Storage Inc. (NYSE: EXR) (the "Company") today announced that 12 of its stores in Maryland received the LEED Gold Certification.  LEED, or Leadership in Energy & Environmental Design, is a green building certification program that recognizes best-in-class building strategies based on the effective use of materials and resources, energy efficiency, water efficiency, sustainable sites, innovation and other criteria.  According to LEED, Extra Space Storage is the first storage company to certify properties at its Gold level.
