Excella Consulting Ranked Among Firms with Top Internship Programs.

ARLINGTON, Va., Nov. 18, 2015 /PRNewswire/ -- Excella is proud to be named on Vault's list of the "50 Best Internships," a competitive ranking of internship programs nationwide and across industries. Vault is a leading career information and intelligence resource, and has provided influential company rankings, profiles, ratings, and review across industries for more than two decades.

Excella's Extension Centers (XCs), located on the campuses of Virginia Tech (Blacksburg, VA) and the University of Maryland (College Park, MD), aim to build tomorrow's technology workforce by providing high-achieving technical students with real work experience part-time while they pursue their degree. Operating under the tutelage of experienced software developers, XC students build technical skills by providing remote software development and support to real Excella clients in the Federal, commercial, and non-profit sectors. Rising seniors may be invited to participate in a summer associate program, and graduating seniors are invited to intrview for full-time roles. In 2015, Excella offered eight graduating seniors full-time roles with a 100% acceptance rate.

To compile the 2016 Vault Best Internship Rankings, Vault invited more than 600 organizations to participate in an Internship Survey. This year, more than 5,800 interns reviewed 102 different internship programs. Participants were surveyed on all aspects of their internship experience, including their quality of life, compensation & benefits, the interview process, career development opportunities, and full-time employment prospects. The 50 Best Internships Rankings reflect the highest-rated internship programs across the survey pool.
