Europ Assistance Selects Acme Packet for Session Border Control and Session Management in Its Contact Center
BEDFORD, MA, Apr 04, 2012 (MARKETWIRE via COMTEX) --
Acme Packet(R) (NASDAQ: APKT), the leader in session delivery
networks, today announced that Europ Assistance, a leading insurance
provider of home and family health, travel and automotive care
services, selected Acme Packet to help maximize the benefits from its
newly deployed SIP trunk. Europ Assistance is using the Acme Packet
Net-Net Enterprise Session Director for border control and session
management to extend secure, efficient and reliable communications
across its Avaya-based contact centers and mitigate service
incompatibilities while safeguarding IT assets.
"Through Acme Packet's enterprise session border controller (E-SBC),
we were able to deploy our new SIP trunking solution in one day and
immediately begin realizing a 50% reduction in our international
calling costs, plus reduced operational expenditures," said Jose Luis
Alonso, systems manager, Europ Assistance Espana. "The E-SBC has
increased our core business profits by reducing costs without
compromising call quality or customer satisfaction. After
implementing Acme Packet's solution, we saw a full return on
investment in only two months."
"Forward-thinking and innovative companies like Europ Assistance are
investing in IP telephony for their contact centers and benefiting
from the lower costs and increased flexibility offered by SIP
trunking services," said Mario Oliveira, vice president of Europe,
Middle East, and Africa, and Caribbean and Latin America sales, Acme
Packet. "Our E-SBCs provide adaptable, future-proof SIP technology to
help Europ Assistance quickly and efficiently achieve their core
business targets, as well as strategically prepare for the evolution
of communications."
The Acme Packet Net-Net Enterprise Session Director accelerated Europ
Assistance's SIP trunking initiative by providing session management
and interoperability between its Avaya contact center systems and the
SIP trunk service, as well as overcoming service quality and security
challenges that can slow SIP trunking initiatives and cause poor
customer service. The Acme Packet E-SBCs enabled Europ Assistance's
call centers to provision its SIP trunking service in hours, rather
than days. Acme Packet E-SBCs secure Europ Assistance's network
border and help safeguard its IT assets by protecting against network
overloads and external attacks. The Net-Net Enterprise Session
Director also helps ensure reliable access to SIP trunking services
by routing around failures and providing quality of service.
Quobis, a leading Spanish system integrator for service providers,
contact centers, and enterprises, fully integrated the Net-Net
Enterprise Session Director with Europ Assistance's SIP trunking
service.
