Ericsson announces contracts worth over USD550m in China

(Tele.com Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) Swedish telecomms solutions provider Ericsson said on Monday (14 August) that it had finalised a number of major GSM expansion contracts with China Mobile Communications Corporation (China Mobile) during the first half of 2006.



The contracts are collectively worth more than USD550m and cover expansion projects in 17 regions.

Under the contracts Ericsson will provide China Mobile with core and radio networks, along with related technical support and services.


Ericsson will also deploy its Mobile Softswitch Solution.
