Epsilon and TELEHOUSE Partner to Provide Customers with Advanced Peering Opportunities at NYIIXNEW YORK, Dec. 12, 2017 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Epsilon, a privately owned global communications service provider, today announces that it has partnered with TELEHOUSE, a KDDI Group company and a global leader for data centers, international internet exchanges and managed IT services, to provide customers with remote peering connectivity to the New York International Internet Exchange (NYIIX). The partnership also offers TELEHOUSE customers flexible, on-demand direct connection capabilities to TELEHOUSE’s additional regional and global data center locations, as well as to leading Cloud Service Providers via Epsilon’s Infiny platform.
As a result of growing global internet traffic, which experts estimate will increase nearly threefold over the next five years to reach 3.3 ZB by 2021 (Cisco Visual Networking Index: Forecast and Methodology, 2016–2021), organizations now require solutions to improve network performance while decreasin operational expenditure. To address these new requirements, Epsilon customers can now access the NYIIX Peering Exchange and take the complexity out of interconnectivity, while increasing data speeds and conserving financial resources. “Our alliance with TELEHOUSE enables us to deliver effective peering solutions that enable customers to expand and improve network reach while saving on their bottom line,” explains Jerzy Szlosarek, CEO, Epsilon. “In addition to reaching NYIIX through our innovative, on-demand connectivity solution, Infiny also provides TELEHOUSE customers with access to a broad suite of on-demand connectivity services, all from a single self-service platform.” Utilizing Infiny, TELEHOUSE users can now procure and manage communications services, including port-to-port Ethernet, internet and cloud service provider direct connects, SIP trunking, last mile DIA and SD-WAN. Epsilon’s global network fabric currently stretches across 90 Points of Presence (PoPs) in major interconnection hubs globally, including multiple TELEHOUSE facilities in New York, Paris, and London. Future connections to additional TELEHOUSE sites in Los Angeles, Hong Kong and Singapore are planned in 2018. “We are excited to welcome Epsilon and its customers to NYIIX; the partnership fortifies our ever-growing community and enables TELEHOUSE to continue building a richer peering ecosystem to benefit our customers and partners alike,” says Akio Sugeno, Vice President, Internet Engineering, Operations and Business Development, TELEHOUSE America. “Access to Epsilon’s North American footprint and on-demand connectivity capabilities are key differentiators for TELEHOUSE in the U.S., further reinforcing our facilities’ position as cloud and connectivity enablement hubs.” For more information about Epsilon, visit www.epsilontel.com.
