Epicor Software unveils new energy management solution

Mar 19, 2013 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- Epicor Software Corporation, a provider of business software solutions for manufacturing, distribution, retail and services organizations, has unveiled Epicor energy management, formerly Epicor Carbon Connect.

The rebranded Epicor Energy Management suite provides companies the ability to identify, analyze, audit, track, manage, benchmark and report on energy consumption, environmental impact and carbon emissions, the company said.

"Epicor Energy Management delivers an integrated assessment of the company's devices and energy usage to give customers a baseline of where they are now and how to move forward in the future," said Malcolm Fox, vice president, product marketing at Epicor. "More importantly, this is a collaboration to help our customers develop a strategic energy management plan that inspires efficiency across their organization." As part of the next-generation enterprise resource planning (ERP) solution, Epicor Energy Management is available on-premise or on-demand. This solution allows companies to calculate their expected emissions output and budget for their environmental cost factors.


Epicor Energy Management is a fundamental function of an overall financial management and accounting system to enable companies to engage in emissions accounting for regulatory, public relations, marketing and operational efficiency purposes, the company added.
