Entuity's Eye of the Storm Wins Network Computing Award
Mar 25, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) --
Entuity, a provider of network management solutions and the developer of its Eye of the Storm (EYE) software suite, announced that EYE has won "Editor's Choice 2009" at the 2009 Network Computing Awards ceremony.
Winners were determined based on online nominations and voting by the magazine's readership across 24 categories, reflecting the wide range of application areas that impact the modern-day network. Award nominations closed in January and were open to any company and any product.
The Network Computing Awards run annually and are designed to recognize and reward products, services and companies that have most impressed the readership of the UK's networking publication.
Awarded "Editor's Choice 2009," EYE was recognized by network professionals for the value the latest version of the product provides beyond the network operations center (NOC) and for offering the industry's first inclusive green IT solution, Green IT Perspective, focused on managing IT infrastructure to reduce operations costs as well as mitigate various environmental concerns.
The award was presented at a gala ceremony the evening of March 19, at the Tower Guoman Hotel overlooking Tower Bridge in London.
Kenneth Klapproth, Vice President of Marketing, Entuity, said, "We are gratified that the readers of Network Computing have bestowed this award upon Eye of the Storm. While customer feedback is fundamental to our continued product development, events such as this help confirm that we are providing current generation network management solutions for network professionals and the businesses. EYE delivers contemporary network management for reducing operational costs while improving service - enterprise-class management at an affordable price."
Ray Smyth, Editor, Network Computing Magazine, said, "This year I had a wide and varied range of products to consider from. But whatever way you build your network and secure it, it is guaranteed to be complex. Generally, this complexity, though necessary, can be one of the weakest links and therefore, biggest threats. Eye of the Storm has evolved steadily and sensitively to the evolving network context. The latest version is no exception and its Green Perspective will be helpful in the greening of IT operations, as will its root cause analysis."
