Ideal for deployment in classrooms, hotel guest rooms, student residences, retirement facilities, and other multi-tenant dwellings, the 2.4 GHz 802.11n EWS500AP and dual-band 802.11n EWS510AP serve as all-in-one communication hubs that easily install onto a standard junction box to provide in-room wireless, Power-over-Ethernet and wired connectivity in a single compact device. The APs, which deliver wireless speeds up to 300 Mbps (EWS500AP) and 600 Mbps (EWS510AP), can function as stand-alone access points or centrally managed as part of a scalable EnGenius (News - Alert) ezMaster™ Network Management Platform.

High-Performance Wireless Networking Solutions for Fast, Reliable In-Room Connectivity

Quick and easy to deploy, the EWS500AP and EWS510AP, which can be powered over existing in-room Cat5/6 cabling via an 802.3af/at-compliant PoE switch, feature enhanced receive sensitivity MIMO and two 2dBi internal antennas to ensure reliable connectivity while maintaining a low-profile design that does not obstruct furniture placement and blends in with in-room décor. Both access points feature four 10/100 Mbps Ethernet downlink ports for connectivity to devices such as IPTVs, networked minibars, printers, or gaming consoles, a 10/100 Mbps 802.af/at-compliant PoE port to power a VoIP phone directly through the AP, and an additional passive RJ45 pass-through port and 100 punch-down for phone or fax machine connections.

Compatible with the EnGenius ezMaster Network Management Platform, which can be installed on a physical or Cloud-based server for maximum flexibility in deployment, the EWS500AP and EWS510AP can be easily deployed and centrally managed as part of a fully-integrated, business-class WLAN that requires no licensing or subscription fees. Scalable to support from one to 1000 or more access points and from 10 to 10,000 concurrent users, the EnGenius ezMaster Network Management Platform provides simplified configuration, rich reporting and analytics, and business-class features such as Captive Portal which enables organizations to capture and regulate web usage through user authentication and enables the display of customized splash pages.

Both the EWS500AP and EWS510AP, which feature enhanced wireless security, including WiFi Protected Access (WPA/WPA2 Enterprise/PSK) Encryption, IEEE (News - Alert) 802.1X with RADIUS, and MAC Address Filtering, support Fast Roaming and Guest Network. The dual-band EWS510AP supports band steering to automatically shift dual-band client devices to the less-crowded 5 GHz band, giving single-band 2.4 GHz clients exclusive access to the 2.4 GHz band and optimizing overall bandwidth traffic on the network.
