Emergent Risk International Rolls Out "The Situation Room" at ASIS 2017

Emergent Risk International LLC - a Dallas based intelligence, risk and advisory firm - will roll out a new intelligence solution for business, intelligence and security operations teams at the ASIS 2017 Security Conference on September 25 - 28, 2017 in Dallas, TX.

"Emergent Risk is on the cusp of substantial growth as a firm that specializes exclusively in private sector intelligence: building and auditing intelligence programs and providing business-centric intelligence, analysis, and training," said Meredith Wilson, CEO and Founder of Emergent Risk International.

"We are especially excited about our newest solution - The Emergent Risk Situation Room.

"The Situation Room embodies our emphasis on adding value, not just by providing consumable intelligence, but by assisting our clients in becoming internal intelligence and analysis experts on the issues that drive thir business risk and opportunity.

"The Situation Room is designed to provide analysts with a jumping-off point to thousands of reputable information sources, data analytics, mapping, real-time information streams and more - in a single dashboard. By providing these tools in one place, analysts working in a hyper fast-paced environment can quickly back up their analysis with authoritative data and visuals that underscore its veracity, helping to eliminate creeping 'alternative facts.'

"While the dashboard also provides access to ERI country reports and daily reporting, its live analytics and data feeds encourage users to utilize high quality data-based information and sources to back up their own analysis and eliminate 'cut and paste' reporting." Critically, the dashboard incorporates tools and sources taught in the popular Emergent Risk intelligence training courses.

The Situation Room is built by Knoema, a US-based data technology company, that also provides the robust custom-curated data catalog on which the system's living analytic tools are powered.

Ms. Wilson said that during her years in government and corporate intelligence she has seen rapid growth on the private sector side of intelligence. She believes that recent crises like the Arab Spring in 2011, the emergence of ISIS, and increased political risk in OECD countries have been a key factor in this growth. In addition to assisting major multi-national companies in designing and building effective intelligence functions, each year ERI trains hundreds of analysts to work in private sector intelligence. While ERI does not name its clients publicly, the company works with some of the world's largest companies including several Fortune 20 companies and dozens of Fortune 500 companies.

"We are thrilled to participate in ASIS this year and are looking forward to seeing many of our clients and partners there," said Ms. Wilson.
