Emergent Game Technologies Bolsters Business Development Team

Mar 24, 2009 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) -- Emergent Game Technologies announced the appointment of game industry veterans Amanda Cinfio and Tim Flett to key positions on the Emergent worldwide business development team as director of business development and developer relations manager, respectively.

Cinfio and Flett are crucial elements in Emergent's hands-on support of publishers and developers around the globe that license its technology, including the recently announced Gamebryo LightSpeed, the company said.

"Emergent is redefining the relationship between licensee and vendor to one of a deep partnership," said Katie Morgan, VP sales and marketing, Emergent Game Technologies. "We're committed to offering a different type of collaboration to our developers and publishers, one in which they can feel comfortable building their studios on a backbone of our technology. Between LightSpeed and our professional team, developers can go from Pitch to Prototype to Published at the speed of light." Cinfio brings more than 16 years of experience in publisher and developer relations, including 10 years managing third party relations for Sony Computer Entertainment in Europe and America. During her time at SCE, she provided ongoing guidance and support for major publishers and licensees coming to the PlayStation platform. Cinfio also has experience in publishing while at Accolade Europe and later GT Interactive Software (Europe).

As developer relations manager, Flett is the primary point of contact for developers in Europe, UK, Australia and New Zealand interested in using Emergent's technology. Prior to Emergent, Flett spent 14 years with Sony Computer Entertainment Europe as the development tools and communications manager.

The new positions that Cinfio and Flett fill are in response to the growing demand from Emergent's game technology initiative. Long time Emergent employee Tim Page was recently promoted to director of sales, Americas, where Cinfio and he will continue to develop the matchmaking program between publishers and developers. Former SouthPeak executive VP Katie Morgan joined Emergent last year, bringing her extensive knowledge of the publishing and development process to the team.

Game developers interested in hearing more about Gamebryo LightSpeed can visit the Emergent Technologies booth in the North Hall at the Game Developers Conference in San Francisco, Calif., March 25 - 27, the company noted in a release.

Emergent Game Technologies works with developers and middleware providers to create the software and services needed to rapidly move from prototype to final product, the company noted in a release.
