EMC and Quark form XML authoring alliance

Jul 03, 2009 (Datamonitor via COMTEX) -- EMC and desktop publishing software company Quark have formed a partnership to launch a joint offering for XML for Microsoft Word users.

The companies said they will combine Quark's XML Author with EMC's Documentum enterprise content management application to ease the adoption of XML, remove complexity, and improve productivity. They said this will enable enables enterprises adopting XML to improve content creation collaboration, re-use content, and comply with regulatory mandates.



Jeroen Van Rotterdam, general manager of XML solutions at EMC's content management and archiving division, said: "The seamless integration between Quark XML Author for Microsoft Word and Documentum provides customers a unique solution for creating and managing XML today based on Microsoft Word, the most desired end-user interface." http://www.datamonitor.com Republication or redistribution, including by framing or similar means, is expressly prohibited without prior written consent.
