Electronics taken in two Lawrence apartment breaks [The Eagle-Tribune, North Andover, Mass.]

(Eagle-Tribune (North Andover, MA) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) March 24--LAWRENCE -- Thieves kicked in the doors to two apartments on opposite sides of the city Tuesday and stole home electronic equipment.

Linnette Anaya of 317 S. Broadway, told Officer David Moynihan Jr. she left her apartment about 8 a.m. Tuesday and returned at 1:30 p.m. to find the rear door open and the bottom of the entry door kicked in.

She reported a 32-inch Vizio plasma television, and a Sony Playstation 3 video game console were stolen. Her apartment was ransacked with all of the drawers being opened in every room.

A resident in the downstairs apartment told Moynihan she was home all day and did not hear or see anything upstairs.

The break was reported at 1:45 p.m. Tuesday, police said.

Officer Timothy Dube went to 28 Sheridan St. about 12 a.m. Tuesday for an alarm call.

The tenant, Janie Morales told him she received a call from her landlord concerning her alarm and rushed home and called her sister in law who lives across the street.

The lower panel of the front door had been kicked out and a Sony Playstation video game console, a Nintendo Wii game system, a Hewlett-packard computer monitor, and an Aspire netbook computer were taken.

The sister-in-law told Dube one of the neighbors said he had seen the people taking things from the apartment, but the neighbor did not answer the door when Dube went to talk to him, police said.
