Edgewater Networks Executive to Speak at ITEXPO 2012, Asterisk World 2012 and Telecom Reseller Week

Edgewater Networks (News - Alert) today announced its lineup of conference activity for the winter of 2012 with a key company executive presenting at two industry events and hosting a seminar at Telecom Reseller (News - Alert) Week.

Dave Martin, Vice President of Marketing for Edgewater Networks, will cover best practices to securely extend UC systems to a distributed workforce in a session entitled "Easing the Pain of Connecting Remote Offices/Workers to an Asterisk (News - Alert) Infrastructure" at the Asterisk World 2012 conference being held at the Miami Beach Convention Center in Miami Beach, FL on January 31 - February 3, 2012. The session will focus on the overall role of Enterprise Session Border Controllers in remote office connectivity including providing business quality VoIP using QoS and connecting distributed offices without overhauling existing security infrastructure including firewalls. The presentation is scheduled for 11:00 am to 11:45 am on Wednesday, February 1.

Mr. Martin will also be participating in the panel "E-BCs: Handling Users, Applications and Enterprise Networks" at the ITEXPO (News - Alert) 2012, which is also held at the Miami Beach Convention Center, February 1 - 3, 2012. During this panel, Mr. Martin will emphasize the ability of Enterprise Session Border Controllers to act as a policy enforcement point for real-time IP based communications to reduce costs and increase service quality and availability. This double session panel is scheduled for 9:00 am to 10:45 am on Wednesday, February 1.

In addition, Mr. Martin is hosting a seminar at Telecom Reseller Week entitled "Profitably Selling UC Services Infrastructure." While UC devices, applications and services get the lion's share of attention, they cannot effectively function without a solid infrastructure that provides the levels of security and performance required for real-time communications. This seminar will illustrate how dealers and resellers can educate their customers about the needed infrastructure to maximize the investments they are already making in UC services. The seminar will be held on Thursday, February 2 from 2:15 pm to 3:00 pm in the Reseller Solutions Theater on the ITEXPO showroom floor at the Miami Beach Convention Center, across from booth #841.
