Durham Startup Windsor Circle to Hold Open House to Celebrate Move to Revitalized Downtown Building

Windsor Circle, an industry leader in customer retention and predictive lifecycle marketing software, is one of the first new tenants moving to a recently revitalized building in downtown Durham. Driven by its fast growth, the marketing firm is relocating its corporate headquarters to the top two floors of the historic Trust Building at 212 West Main Street. Windsor Circle will hold an Open House event on Tuesday December 1 to celebrate the expansion of their team and Durham's booming startup economy. The event is open to the public, and will be held in their new space.

"I'm excited about what Windsor Circle's relocation to the iconic Trust Building represents for the company as well for Durham's downtown. While the move completes the leasing of the building, it also builds on downtown activity and economic growth, poising Windsor Circle to grow from 70 to 150 employees. We welcome and celebrate this kind of entrepreneurial spirit, represented by both the building renovation and the company. It's what continues to help drive Durham's ongoing downtown renaissance," said Durham Mayor Bill Bell.

The Trust Building has been vacant for more than 20 years, but is soon to once again become a thriving center of entrepreneurial activity and growth for the city. Built in 1905, it was once reported to be the tallest office building in North Carolina, as well as Durham's first multi-story office building and the locale of the city's first elevator.

"This is a huge step for Windsor Circle," said CEO and Co-Founder Matt Williamson. "We've grown so much in the last two years, and the new space will help us with our vision for the future as we strive to make a big impact with our customer growth and retention software, both locally in Durham and globally."

Windsor Circle designed the new offices to fit their company culture and values around openness and transparency. As Director of Finance Tim DeBone remarked, "We included numerous collective and creative spaces to foster teamwork and innovation as we tackle exciting problems."

Kenneth Luker of Perkins+Will Architects firm, who redesigned the building, said, "We planned the space in direct response to the Windsor Circle culture-open, collaborative, serious, but also fun. And Windsor Circle's creative and high energy spirit really focused in on those aspects of the renovation that most supported their growing company."

Such a collaborative, energetic culture helped to earn Windsor Circle's five-star Glassdoor rating, and current employee Brad Springer commented on what makes the firm such a good place to work. "The Windsor Circle team encourages you to be your authentic, genuine self," said Springer. "We have a diverse group of people who bring unique ideas and points of view to the table-it's a recipe to create big things."

Windsor Circle's growth in the last year has been marked and, with the new move, they are recruiting to further expand their current team of more than 70 employees. Said DeBone, "We have enough room to double our headcount, with job openings in sales, development, client success, and more."

Windsor Circle will be joined in the new building by two other major tenants, the Durham Convention & Visitors Bureau and the American Underground startup campus.

"Durham is a leading city for successful startups, and Windsor Circle has helped put our startup ecosystem on the map-winning the first Google Demo Day and closing a major round of funding last year," said Adam Klein of American Underground. "It's been our privilege to serve and support Windsor Circle for nearly two years, and I look forward to our relationship flourishing as we both continue to grow."

To mark the move, Windsor Circle will hold an Open House at the new office on December 1 from 5:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. Windsor Circle family, friends, investors, supporters, and the public-at-large are invited to attend, and can RSVP for the Windsor Circle event in advance.
