Drexel Board of Trustees Appoints New Members


(Targeted News Service Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) PHILADELPHIA, Nov. 5 -- Drexel University issued the following news release: Drexel University has appointed two new members to its Board of Trustees. The new trustees are Richelle Parham, chief marketing officer at eBay North America, and David R. Geltzer, founder/CEO of the Geltzer Family Foundation.



Richelle Parham As chief marketing officer of eBay North America, Parham leverages her background in brand, consumer and digital marketing to develop strategies and execute all marketing activities to reach 140+ million active eBay users.

Prior to joining eBay in 2010, Parham served as head of global marketing innovation and initiatives, and head of global marketing services at Visa, Inc. Her previous experience also includes 13 years at Digitas, Inc., a world-leading marketing agency, where she held a variety of senior leadership roles, including senior vice president and general manager of the agency's Chicago office. In 2012, she began serving on the board of Scripps Networks Interactive Inc.


Parham has received many awards and honors, including being named to Fast Company's "Most Creative People in Business 1000" and Savoy Magazine's 2014 "Top 100 Most Influential Blacks in Corporate America." Additionally, she was named to the Direct Marketing News Marketing Hall of Femme in 2013. A year prior, she received the Women of Influence award by the Silicon Valley/San Jose Business Journal, while being inducted into the World Association for Cooperative Education Co-op Hall of Fame. The Drexel alumna was inducted into the Drexel 100 in 2013. Parham is a strong advocate for inspiring and empowering the next generation of women leaders and STEAM education through programs like Girls Who Code where she is an advisor.

David R. Geltzer Geltzer is the founder/CEO of the Geltzer Family Foundation, which supports programs and organizations in the areas of education and community development.

Geltzer had an extensive business career at Macy's New York and helped Macy's develop and establish the Charter Club and Aeropostale Specialty Store Division. As president and a principal owner of Aeropostale and Chelsea Cambell stores, he was instrumental in taking the Macy's Specialty Store Division business private and then helped the company prepare for a public offering.

He is a long standing trustee of the Trenton Area Soup Kitchen that serves over 300,000 meals per year to those who are hungry in the Trenton area and offers programs to encourage self-sufficiency and improve the quality of life of its patrons. Geltzer serves on the Drexel Hillel Board of Overseers, the initial Drexel University Close School of Entrepreneurship Advisory Board and is the chair of the Drexel University LeBow College of Business Dean's Advisory Board.

He was named to the Drexel 100 that honors accomplished alumni at Drexel University, inducted to the World Association for Cooperative Education Hall of Fame and named "Northeaster of the Year 2013" at his high school alma mater Northeast High, where he was also inducted into the Wall of Fame.

Geltzer earned his Bachelor of Science in accounting from Drexel University in 1977.
