(Comtex Finance Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge)HANOI, Jan 13, 2006 (Dow Jones Commodities News Select via Comtex) --Vietnam shares closed higher Friday, after falling for two straight days, as investors bought on hopes that some listed firms, including Sacom, North Kinh Do and Kinh Do Corp., will see solid growth this year, traders said.

"Investors were buying those stocks which have good growth potential," said one trader with ACB Securities.

The Vietnam Stock Exchange index rose 2.7 points, or 0.9, to 306.83.
