ANKARA, Oct 29, 2008 (Asia Pulse Data Source via COMTEX) --
The Turkish prime minister called the Syrian president on Tuesday.
Turkey's Premier Recep Tayyip Erdogan had a phone conversation with Syrian President Bashar al-Asad and discussed the violation of Syrian border.

In the phone talk, Erdogan expressed his concern over border violation in Syria's Abu Kamal region on October 26, and offered his condolences for the Syrian citizens who lost their lives in the incident.

Erdogan said that border violation was a serious development, and Turkey was monitoring developments.

Premier Erdogan and Syrian President al-Asad also exchanged views about Turkish-Syrian relations, resumption of diplomatic relations between Syria and Lebanon and joint fight against the terrorist organization PKK.
