Digium® Switchvox Unified Communications Solution Wins Top Midmarket Product Award from Everything Channel's CRN Magazine
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. --(Business Wire)--
Digium®
Inc., the Asterisk® Company, today announced that CRN Magazine, a
part of the Everything Channel, has recognized Digium's (News - Alert) Switchvox® SMB
AA355 Voice over IP (VoIP) Unified
Communications (UC) solution as a Top Midmarket Product.
The Top Midmarket Product winners were selected through a nomination
process from Everything Channel editorial, solution providers and chief
information officers (CIOs) of midsize companies. The groups
collectively nominated more than 10 products per category based on how
well their technology fits a midsize enterprise, customer service and
the technology vendor's commitment to solution providers serving
midmarket customers. For each category, a subset of the nominating group
selected the winner and runner-up. All the winning products were
approved by Everything Channel editorial.
"With midmarket IT spending growing, vendors are aggressively targeting
the CIOs of midsize organizations," said Kelley Damore, VP, Editorial
Director, Everything Channel. "The vendors on this year's list have
positioned their technology for midsize enterprises and have proven
their commitment to the technolog channel. Congratulations to all of
the vendors on this year's list."
The Switchvox SMB 355 is a rack mountable Unified Communications (News - Alert)
solution that gives small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs) the ability
to improve office communications at a price they can afford. It is
designed for medium to large businesses that want an affordable, high
performance, full featured IP PBX (News - Alert) that supports 400 users and up to 75
concurrent calls. This system integrates enterprise-class features such
as call queues, call recording, conferencing, chat, video and presence,
all in a single system. It is easy to set up and manage with a
Switchboard web interface, and it can be used with a company's existing
SIP telephones and hardware, resulting in lower costs than with a
traditional business phone system.
"At Digium, we do most of our business through the channel, so
recognition for one of our core products from Everything Channel is
important to us," said Danny Windham, CEO of Digium. "We believe this
award acknowledges the combined success of Digium and our hundreds of
partners. We're proud of the strength of the Digium ecosystem and will
continue to cultivate it and devote resources to its rapid growth to
