Non-Mandatory Pre-Proposal Meeting A non-mandatory pre-proposal meeting is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on September 29, 2014 at the Boulder County Justice Center, 1777 6th Street, Boulder, CO 80302. Written Inquiries All inquiries regarding this RFP shall be submitted via email to the Boulder County Purchasing Office at [email protected] on or before 4:00 p.m. October 1, 2014. A response from the County to all inquiries shall be posted and sent via email no later than October 3, 2014. Background Boulder County recently has begun a remodel and electronic systems upgrade of the Juvenile Center. They have decided to implement a new digital video surveillance system for this area of the building. The County currently has primarily analog cameras and Pelco video surveillance systems (DVRs) installed in multiple county buildings. The County has begun to standardize its camera systems with a Milestone Software Solution. Which is a county-wide, enterprise level, IP based network video surveillance solution to replace the analog components. The new video surveillance system and its Milestone software component for this project will provide the County with future expansion and product standardization. Scope of Work The Boulder County Information Technology (IT) Division and the Juvenile Center is seeking proposals from qualified security contractors for the installation and commissioning of Milestone Software with digital Video Surveillance equipment at the newly remodeled Juvenile Center. The system shall be an enterprise IP-based Video Surveillance System utilizing the latest IP network security equipment that is scalable for expansion into other county facilities as may be required in the future. The scope of work shall consist of installation of 20 cameras; see attached locations on pdf floor plan. All are fixed IP security cameras, wired back to a central Computer room within the building using Category 6 cabling to support both PoE power and Ethernet video signal transmission. Seven of the cameras will be monitoring the indoor area. Three of the camera locations will require tamper proof housing and will be mounted within holding cells. Five of the cameras are to be rated to be mounted outdoors. The head-end equipment will consist of installation of a network video management system consisting of either an IP network server based platform or Network Video Recorder (NVR) running the Milestone management software application. Monitoring of the system will occur from both Fixed TV Monitors in the Juvenile control room and IT workstations both within the Juvenile Center and at several other remote County buildings as identified in the construction documents. Provide all cameras, lenses, camera housings, mounting hardware, back boxes at the camera locations shown on the drawings.
