Dialog Semiconductor's DA9052 configurable power management IC powers Epson's new Moverio BT-100 standalone type 3D see-through mobile viewer

Provider of power management, audio and short range wireless technologies Dialog Semiconductor plc (FWB: DLG) on Monday revealed that its DA9052 configurable power management IC is being used by Epson, a provider of imaging products, for the new Moverio BT-100 standalone type 3D see-through mobile viewer.
According to Dialog Semiconductor, the Moverio BT-100 standalone type 3D see-through mobile viewer delivers approximately six hours of video playback and enables users to watch video on the move. The transparent, 3D enabled display lenses give a perceived image equivalent to an 8-metre (320-inch) display viewed from 20 metres away. A QHD resolution screen with earphones is integrated with the unit., which runs the Android operating system and is WiFi enabled, supporting up to 32Gb of memory card storage.
The Moverio BT-100 standalone type 3D allows users to view of up to four films from a single charge and is said to be particularly suitable for long train and plane journeys.
The company added that its Dialog DA9052 supports most application and mobile graphics processors, enabling designers to reduce the power consumption, size and cost of portable electronic devices such as smartphones, tablet PCs, e-readers and multimedia players.
