Dharma.ai Appoints David Muse as CEO and Kristen Clark Chief Growth Officer

Today, Dharma.ai named David Muse as its Chief Executive Officer, effective immediately. The appointment will help accelerate Dharma.ai's growth, as Muse brings a deep background leading and scaling technology companies.

Founded by data scientists, epidemiologists, and front-line care givers in the West Africa Ebola epidemic, Dharma was developed and battle tested to meet the needs of international organizations that required a data platform that could easily gather, understand, and act on information to save lives. Supported by their patented data ingestion, online collaboration, and offline capabilities, Dharma allows users to rapidly design programs to collect data, anywhere, anytime and make informed decisions to maximize impact. In use across the globe, the Dharma software platform allows aid workers, doctors, teachers, and all others on the front lines of impact to easily gather, understand, and respond. With Dharma, money, time, and human lives are saved, every day, throughout the world.

Dharma recently partnered with the Seva Foundation to support them in their goal to eliminate avoidable blindness that impacts 25 million people globally. Seva's mission is to reduce blindness worldwide, providing eye care for over 1 million of the world's most marginalized population annually, successfully restoring sight to over 4 million people in the last four decades. Dharma will assist Seva in modernizing their data collection to support the monitoring and evaluation of their global network of over 100 hospitals across 20 countries.

"Dharma.ai is helping organizations more effectively and efficiently bring needed change to the most vulnerable populations around the world, and I couldn't be more excited to help grow that mission and help bring the company forward," said David Muse, CEO of Dhrma.ai. "We will continue to bring forward the commitment of helping those who are helping others through the use of trusted and innovative technology."

Muse most recently served as a Senior Advisor to TPG, providing operational guidance to a number of TPG's portfolio companies in the technology sector. Prior to that, Mr. Muse was the President and CEO of Enviance, and served as the COO at P2 Energy Solutions. Mr. Muse received his MBA from McCombs School of Business, University of Texas at Austin and holds a B.S., Industrial Distribution from Texas A&M University.

In addition, the company named Kristen Clark as Chief Growth Officer. Clark will lead Dharma's client facing activities and play a key role in driving the future direction of the company. She most recently served as the CEO of Door94, a Washington D.C. start-up delivering impact management solutions to non-profits, and before that led the Research & Analytics Business Unit at Sprinklr, a social customer experience management platform.

"Dharma.ai has the potential to transform how global organizations use data to immediately and efficiently maximize their impact," said Kristen Clark. "I am thrilled to be a part of a company focused on bringing world-class technology talent to the organizations who greatly serve our world."

"Dharma's data platform allows international aid organizations, NGO's and multi-national foundations to quickly collect, manage and analyze patient and user data in even the most remote areas, helping them make better decisions and expanding their impact," said Bill McGlashan, co-founder and CEO of The Rise Fund. "David and Kristen are exactly the kind of business minded, impact driven leaders that will help find new ways to leverage resources and talent to bring the business forward, expanding use of these innovative tools to maximize Dharma's strength while simultaneously delivering impact to more markets."

Larry Brilliant (News - Alert), Epidemiologist and Dharma.ai Board Member, "I only wish we had technology like Dharma when we were working to eradicate smallpox. Adding David and Kristen makes this a new day - and a good day - for the teams fighting disease and disasters."
