--------------------------------------------------------------------------- m4e AG records significant increasesmin turnover and EBIT in first half-year 2014 - Turnover increases to EUR 9.5 million (previous year: EUR 8.0 million) - EBIT more than doubles to EUR 0.7 million (previous year: EUR 0.3 million) - Award-winning TV series "Mia and me(R)" now has over 120 licensees worldwide and more than 1,300 products on the market Höhenkirchen/Munich, 30th September 2014: The international brand management and media company m4e AG (ISIN DE000A0MSEQ3) was able to increase its consolidated sales against the previous year by about 18 percent to EUR 9.5 million (previous year: EUR 8.0 million). The EBIT also recorded a significant growth to EUR 0.7 million compared to EUR 0.3 million in the same period in the previous year. The balance sheet total increased on 30th June 2014 to about EUR 22.9 million (31st December 2013: EUR 21.0 million). In the reporting period a cash flow of EUR 1.2 million from current operating activities was disclosed (previous year: EUR -0.4 million). Shareholders' equity totalled around EUR 12.9 million on 30th June 2014 (31st December 2013: EUR 12.6 million). This constitutes an equity ratio to the amount of about 56.5 percent (31st December 2013: about 59.8 percent). Non-current assets are thus almost completely covered by equity capital. m4e AG thus has stable equity resources for future growth.


Hans Ulrich Stoef, CEO of m4e AG, is delighted with the development in the first half-year: "Our results as well as the worldwide successes of our award-winning TV series "Mia and me(R)" confirm that with our marketing strategy of our own IP rights and the development of our international market position in media and entertainment for children's and family entertainment we are on the right track to further growth, more rapidly and more profitable. We will continue on the path we have chosen, and continually expand our own brands as well as further strengthening our programme library with in-house content and licensing rights." In the first half of the year, the m4e Group pressed ahead with the further expansion of its marketing concept for its blockbuster "Mia and me(R)". The Munich-based brand management and media company was able to sell further TV rights to CTC in Russia, Nick Jr. in the USA, Nickelodeon in Great Britain, Clan in Spain and Gulli in France, among others - and is thus now represented worldwide in all key markets. The series is meanwhile broadcast in over 80 countries around the world. With these broadcasts m4e has currently attained exceptional viewing figures. The international licensing programme for the series has also been expanded with alacrity. At the beginning of the year the international toy manufacturer Mattel launched the first "Mia and me(R)" toys (dolls, among others) onto the German - as well as the European - market. Significant market launches in North America, Great Britain, Scandinavia and Russia still lie ahead. In autumn 2014 Mattel will introduce an expansion of the "Mia and me(R)" toy products line onto the market. In early 2014 sales figures already exceeded the threshold of one million each for recordings on audio/visual carriers as well as books covering "Mia and me(R)". This series has meanwhile attracted more than 120 licensees worldwide and has over 1,300 products on the market. The second season of "Mia and me(R)" will be completed at the end of 2014/early 2015. The third season of this success series is already in development. A feature film is also in the planning stage and should provide a further boost for the brand. All these elements should also provide long-term marketing and further development of the "Mia and me(R)" brand.

Perspective Alongside the success series "Mia and me(R)" the m4e Group has a broad spectrum of exciting properties. The next highlight will be the production of the pre-school animation series "Wissper", which the group is producing in collaboration with the London animation studio Absolutely Cuckoo.

Considering the background of a comprehensive library of programmes of over 2,200 episodes of children's and family entertainment, and of new, promising productions and the international marketing of the "Mia and me(R)" brand the executive board sees an enormous potential for chances and growth in the coming years. For the financial year 2014 and beyond, the executive board holds fast to the expectation of further growth in turnover and growth in results for this group of companies.

A current research study by Hauck & Aufhäuser sees a fair value of m4e-shares at EUR 5.60. At a current price of EUR 3.60, this means a potential of over 50 percent.
