DELHI HC STAYS CCI PROBE AGAINST JCB(Indian Business Insight Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) The Delhi High Court (HC) has stayed further proceeding by the Competition Commission of India (CCI) against JCB India, as a case is already going on in the court. CCI had conducted a raid on JCB India's offices in Delhi and Faridabad on 22 Sep 2014. The HC has asked the Director General of CCI to file a personal affidavit on the reason that prompted him to take the drastic action. JCB India is the subsidiary of construction equipment manufacturer JCB of the UK. JCB India has abused the dominant position in market for construction equipment, says CCI in its order following a complaint by Bull Machines against JCB India for alleged abuse of its dominant position to keep away competition. |
