DCC Confirms Moloney Now Chairman As Buckley Retires

(Alliance News Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) LONDON (Alliance News) - DCC PLC Tuesday said John Moloney has now taken up the role of Chairman, after Michael Buckley retired.

The company in June appointed Moloney as chairman designate after Buckley said he would retire in September.

Moloney, age 59, joined DCC's Board in February 2009. He retired as managing director of Glanbia PLC at the end of 2013, after 12 years in that role. He is Chairman of Coillte Teo, the Irish state forestry company, and is also a non-executive director of Greencore Group PLC, Smurfit Kappa PLC and a number of private companies.

Buckley has been chairman since May 2008, and a non-executive director since September 2005.

DCC earlier Tuesday said it will its Robert Roberts and Kelkin businesses to Irish foods company Valeo Foods For EUR60 million, or GBP47 million, on a debt- and cash-free basis.

DCC shares ended up 0.7% at 3,413.98 pence Tuesday on the back of that news.
