Dan Casey Joins Sonomax as President and Chief Operating Officer

(TSX VENTURE: SHH) today announced the hiring of Mr. Dan Casey as President and Chief Operating Officer, reporting to Mr. Barry Schwartz, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of the corporation.. Mr. Casey was formerly Executive Vice-President of Future Electronics, where he played a principal role in the company's growth and expansion into a global multi-billion dollar company.
No longer simply a "one-note-pony" with a hearing protection solution for the industrial market, Sonomax has succeeded in adapting its proprietary intra-ear technologies to a unique range of last-mile, in-ear, devices for the booming entertainment and communications markets and the world's military organizations. Mr. Casey's depth of experience answers Sonomax's requirement for sales and marketing and operations leadership of the highest order as the company introduces this suite of products to the global marketplace.

In connection with the appointment of Mr. Casey as Sonomax's President and Chief Operating Officer, Sonomax granted a stock option to Mr. Casey in respect of 600,000 common shares at an exercise price of $0.27 per share, representing the closing price of Sonomax's shares on the TSX Venture Exchange on January 16, 2008. The option was granted under Sonomax's 2001 Stock Option Plan, subject to approval of the TSX Venture Exchange.
