D Morgan tracks its tipper fleet with Masternaut

Civil engineering contractor and plant hirer D Morgan is fitting its tipper fleet with Masternaut vehicle tracking systems in order to calculate driver hours and comply with Working Time regulations.

The company initially purchased the systems to improve security a decision that had a significant impact on its insurance premium. However, director John Dennan said the system had also improved business efficiency.

The system features: GPS vehicle tracking and online street mapping; the ability to send messages between the base and each driver; and a daily e-mail activity report for calculating service requirements and hire charges.
