Cylance, VMware Partnership Provides Security and Analytics Across Digital Workspace Environments in the Enterprise

Cylance Inc., the company that revolutionized the antivirus and endpoint protection industry with true AI-powered prevention that blocks malware, fileless attacks and today's most advanced cyberthreats, today announced it has collaborated with VMware to support the Workspace ONE Trust Network.

The Workspace ONE Trust Network gives organizations a comprehensive and modern security model across the digital workspace to secure their users, applications, endpoints and networks. The approach combines insights from VMware's intelligence-driven Workspace ONE platform with trusted security partner solutions, such as Cylance (News - Alert), to deliver predictive and automated security. The partnership will be able to provide customers that want to prevent malware infections with the ability to deploy Cylance from directly inside the Workspace ONE platform. Additionally, it will give IT administrators the ability to gain security insights, deliver ongoing security risk monitoring, and automated mitigation response.

"The productivity demands of users to leverage apps, various endpoints, mobile deices and extended networks across an enterprise has dissolved the security perimeter. The lack of security technologies that can adapt to the new ecosystem has caused security to become one of the largest barriers to digital workspace transformation," said Dave Grant, vice president of product marketing, End-User Computing, VMware. "The Workspace ONE Trust Network provides access to some of the world's most advanced security providers, giving customers the ability to protect their networks against attacks regardless of the type of devices or apps their employees use to get their work done every day."

To enable Cylance's prevention-focused antivirus and endpoint detection services across networks of apps and devices, Workspace ONE will use a framework of APIs built on the platform that scales with deployment. As a result, customers will have a complete, continuous view of their systems and current risk, dramatically decreasing response times within the same platform they use to monitor their entire network.

"Businesses using digital workspaces to enable a digitally-native workforce are perfect customers for AI-powered endpoint protection. As new, advanced threats emerge and digital becomes the norm, employees need simple, secure access to apps and data from the device of their choice," said Rahul Kashyap, Worldwide Chief Technology Officer, Cylance. "Customers who use both Workplace ONE and Cylance will no longer need to switch back and forth between platforms to monitor their devices, apps and security. Combining proactive security with analytics allows customers to streamline secure delivery of their apps on any device."
