CyberData Introduces CyberSoftPhone, a Free Video Soft Phone Made for Windows to Use with the Just Released SIP-Enabled H.264 Video Intercoms

CyberData (News - Alert) Corporation announced today a release of a free software download - CyberSoftPhone - that will enable customers wanting a video intercom with secure access control options the ability to use CyberData's newly released SIP-enabled Outdoor H.264 Video Intercoms without the need for a VoIP phone system or a new VoIP video phone. Even more exciting, this new offering of CyberSoftPhone from CyberData requires no additional cost and provides a complete solution for that segment of the market needing video and two-way audio communication, as well as secure access control.

When the SIP H.264 Video Intercom is configured in Point to Point mode, the CyberSoftPhone enabes two way communications without a VoIP phone system. With this new set up, a person can press the call button on the Intercom or dial an extension on the keypad version, and your PC can receive the call and see the video. The user can then use the keypad on the CyberSoftPhone to send DTMF commands to open a door using CyberData's 011269 Door Strike Intermediate Relay or the new 011375 Network Dual Door Strike Relay.

This delivers a complete audio/video communication and secure access control system, without the need for additional equipment. "There is a market of customers for whom the need for two-way audio and video communication and secure access control is paramount, but who otherwise are hindered by the cost of investing in a VoIP phone system or video phone," said Phil Lembo, President & CEO of CyberData. He continued, "The needs of the end user customer are our priority. Our goal is to make it easier for the smaller company who has the same requirements as larger, enterprise outfits for audio/video communication and secure access control, but who don't have those same resources to invest in a new VoIP phone system. Additionally, resellers in the security industry now have a complete offering to this segment of the market that is unhindered by the usual larger dollar investment."

CyberData continues to release new and unique SIP-enabled PoE devices, with plans to augment their SIP-enabled secure access control product line in the next few months.
