CyberData Corporation to Demo Two Highly Anticipated Devices at EnterpriseConnect: 2 Port PoE Gigabit Switch and the SIP Paging Adapter
MONTEREY, Calif. --(Business Wire)--
CyberData's (News - Alert) latest additions to their suite of SIP devices will be on
display in live demos at EnterpriseConnect in Orlando beginning March
18. The upcoming release of both the 2 Port PoE Gigabit Switch,
designed to expand a single PoE network connection into one or two PoE
network ports and the SIP Paging Adapter, a VoIP endpoint
that interfaces analog paging systems with SIP and Multicast-based audio
sources is scheduled for late March.
The CyberData 2-Port PoE Gigabit switch is powered from a single
802.3at or 802.3af network switch and passes that power through to one
or two of the downstream switch ports.
In the basic configuration, one of the Gigabit downstream ports can
drive a VoIP phone directly with PoE and the other Gigabit port can be
connected to a user's PC. No external power supplies are required.
The release of this device has generated a lot of excitement throughout
many different market segments, prompting CyberDaa to take preorders
one month earlier than its original release date.
"Customers have been asking for something like this for a long time,"
explained Phil Lembo, President and CEO of CyberData. "The fact that no
external power supply is needed makes this unique and desirable. It's
not a typical brick, and the low cost and compact size makes it perfect
for any kind of setting."
The SIP Paging Adapter, with voice prompted menu and up to 10
user defined stored message files, is designed to interface analog
paging systems with SIP and multi-cast audio sources is another example
of CyberData's continued ability to meet the demands of the marketplace.
Using the SIP Paging Adapter, messages can be played in a variety
of ways such as SIP to Analog, Line-in to Analog or Multicast to Analog,
making it a versatile and cost-effective endpoint.
"We respond to what our customers are asking for, and there has been a
huge need for a device that can interface analog with SIP," Lembo
continued.
CyberData has begun taking orders for both devices, which will be
available to view at EnterpriseConnect March 18 in Orlando.
