Cybera Achieves Key Customer and Performance Milestones
NEW YORK & NASHVILLE, Tenn. --(Business Wire)--
Cybera®, a leading managed service provider of security and network solutions, today announced several significant customer and performance milestones were achieved by the company in 2008. Most notably, among these achievements, is the completion or expansion of several customer implementations in the retail industry. Specifically, Cybera customers for which a SmartNetwork solution was completed or expanded include:
Alfred Angelo - completed roll out of secure network for in-store applications
Brunswick - network implementation and roll out of SmartSpot, Cybera's managed WiFi solution
Discovery Clothing - completed roll out of secure network for in-store applications
Francesca's - completed roll out of secure network for in-store applications
Fresh and Easy - continued roll out of network solution for in-store applications and Cybera's wireless Rapid Deployment Kits to support store grand openings
O'Reilly Auto Parts - completed roll out of secure network for in-store applications
Pamida - completed network roll out including Cybera's SmartFlo for application prioritization
10,000 Villages - completed roll out of secure network for in-store applications
Cybera has also begun the roll out of customer solutions with several other retail firms including Kirkland's a home décor retailer with over 320 locations. In addition to working with retail enterprises, Cybera has experienced similar success in the convenience store / petroleum and restaurant industries to which it also supplies its managed security and network solutions.
Retailers have chosen to implement Cybera's SmartNetwork as a fully managed secure connectivity solution to address PCI compliance for their network and data infrastructure. Added benefits to these retailers include wireless broadband solutions for primary and backup connectivity and gateway connections to payment processing and other application partners. In each case, the decision to implement Cybera's SmartNetwork solution was based on key business drivers such as lower total cost of ownership (TCO).
"We recognize our retail customers face a challenging environment, and need strategic solutions to help build sustainable competitive advantages," said Cliff Duffey, CEO of Cybera. "The firms we've worked with in 2008 demonstrate how smart retailers are leveraging the managed security and connectivity solutions from Cybera to lower operational expenses. These firms have also contributed to Cybera's strong growth, with the fourth quarter of 2008 coming in as our biggest revenue quarter to date."
Cybera has continued to demonstrate consistent growth results in 2008, posting roughly 30% growth in service revenues. Other highlights from 2008 include the launch of Cybera's portfolio of secure, PCI compliant wireless broadband solutions for primary, backup and temporary use scenarios and the launch of SmartFlo, Cybera's application prioritization service feature. SmartFlo eliminates contention for network resources during peak periods of application data transmission. Cybera has seen significant incremental business from both of these product lines with close to 20% of new network connections deployed being wireless. The vast majority of customers now incorporate Cybera's wireless solutions into their secure enterprise network solutions.
Much of this success comes as a result of Cybera's investment in its sales organization. Over the past few quarters, Cybera has strengthened its senior sales leadership with the addition of Chris Wolff, vice president of alternate channels, and most recently Paul Melton, vice president of enterprise sales.
"External sales momentum through Cybera's channel program has been on the rise," commented Ken Royer, senior vice president of sales, who also joined Cybera early in 2008. "Over the past year we've experienced a dramatic increase in sites deployed resulting from activity by strategic channel partners," continued Royer. "Gilbarco, a technology leader in the c-store segment is a great example of where Cybera's solutions allow integration of security and connectivity directly into merchant focused applications. Over the coming months, Cybera plans to announce additional agent partners as well as strategic partners in point of sale, digital video, digital signage and other application categories."
Recently Cybera also announced a strategic partnership with Tomax, a leading retail POS system vendor. Tomax and Cybera chose to form a strategic partnership based on the synergy of joining Cybera's comprehensive PCI security solutions with Tomax's industry leading POS systems.
