CTA Technology & Standards Forum to Focus on Security, Data and Efficiency

Today the Consumer Technology Association's (CTA)™ 2016 Technology & Standards Spring Forum opened with more than 130 consumer technology experts sharing information, developing synergies and working to bring innovative technologies to consumers. The Technology & Standards forum - one of two CTA hosts each year - includes sessions on Internet of Things (IoT) security, patient-generated health data, new battery backup requirements for VoIP systems and energy efficiency.

"CTA's Technology & Standards forums draw some of the consumer technology industry's best and brightest innovators to network, learn and collaborate," said Dave Wilson, vice president, technology & standards, Consumer Technology Association. "Our Spring Forum brings these experts together to identify opportunities and address challenges to help expand markets for a wide variety of consumer technologies, including health and fitness wearables, consumer audio, video, IoT, networking technology, energy efficiency and, of course, drones. In sum, our forum truly covers the ever-expanding breadth of our industry."
