Crown improves record to dollar, climbs closer to high to euro
(Czech News Agency Via Thomson Dialog NewsEdge) Prague, Dec 1 (CTK) - The Czech crown improved its record to the dollar climbing to Kc21.01/$ in the early morning trade, and it also firmed to the euro to Kc27.89 trading near its all-time high of Kc27.87 hit early in November, server Patria Online has said. The unit then started to lose to Kc21.08/$, the dollar slightly correcting its previous loses to the euro, Tomas Vlk of Patria Finance has told CTK. Nothing is happening on the domestic scene, and the crown is influenced by the neighbouring markets which are rising, said Vlik. Its gain, however, is lower than in the rest of the region. Investors start focusing on the central European region because of considerable pressure on the dollar, said Vlk. Vladimir Pikora of Next Finance said the crown will ignore the state budget data for Jan-Nov to be disclosed by the Finance Ministry later in the day. He expects the crown to firm slightly to the euro for the rest of the day. vr/er
