CROATIA : CROATIA gets GTS fibre-optic network [TendersInfo (India)]

(TendersInfo (India) Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) GTS Central Europe (GTS) has brought its fibre optic network to Croatia.

The firm said the task follows GTS's global network expansion in the Balkan county and complements previous fibre buildings towards Serbia and with Slovenia.

GTS intends to carry on expanding its infrastructure both geographically plus in network depth in metropolitan regions. At present, GTS is working on more network infrastructure expansions all over the easternmost division of its network, generating an ultra high speed communications highway in Central and East Europe.


The capacity of the scheme attains 40 Gbps per channel and overall 96 channels, and can be boosted to 100 Gbps. The latest fibre optic network joins Budapest through Zalaegerszeg and Nagykanizsa, crosses the border at Letenye and widens to Varasdin.

The new network part covers 180 km and raises the total length of GTS's backbone network in Hungary to 2,300 km.
