CounterPath Enhances Enterprise Collaboration and Connectivity for Company's eStore Customers

(ENP Newswire Via Acquire Media NewsEdge) ENP Newswire - 14 August 2014 Release date- 13082014 - Vancouver, BC, Canada - CounterPath Corporation (NASDAQ: CPAH) (TSX: CCV), a leading developer of award-winning desktop, tablet and mobile VoIP software products and solutions, today announced the general availability of the Bria Screen Share and Outlook add-ins for the Bria 4.1 Windows desktop client.

The new screen share add-in enables one-click screen sharing, while the new Outlook add-in enables users to initiate calls, send messages, access voicemail and monitor presence from directly within an Outlook window - leading to higher productivity and better collaboration across the enterprise or SMB.

Previously only offered to large scale customers, the screen share and Outlook add-ins are now available as optional purchases to all Bria 4.1 users via the CounterPath online store. This expands the market opportunity to small to mid-sized businesses.

A recent report by Research and Markets forecasts the enterprise collaboration market to grow from $47 billion in 2014 to $71 billion in 2019, at a Compound Average Growth Rate (CAGR) of 8.3%1. The Bria add-ins for screen sharing and Outlook integration directly address this large opportunity by giving businesses the tools needed for seamless, efficient collaboration.

With the Bria Screen Share Add-in*, users can: Send invitations via IM or email with one click, to up to 100 contacts Enjoy a seamless, hosted screen sharing session without distracting third-party branding Allow participants to join a screen sharing session without downloading proprietary software or requiring Flash or Java View a session from any device with a web browser including desktops, tablets and smartphones The Bria Add-in for Outlook* enables users to: Initiate a call, send an Instant Message or listen to Voicemail - all from within an Outlook window View the status of an Outlook contact (busy or available) from within an Outlook window 'Enterprises today are increasingly investing in tools which improve communication and enhance the ways in which their teams work together,' said Todd Carothers, EVP Marketing and Products, CounterPath. 'The use of screen sharing has exploded as it is an extremely powerful and efficient way for workers to collaborate, so it just made sense to include this functionality in Bria where users already have easy access to their contacts and can initiate screen sharing sessions with one click. The other application in which employees spend a lot of time is Outlook and bringing Bria calling, messaging and presence functionality directly into an email window takes 'staying connected' to a new level. Both these add-ins demonstrate our continuing dedication to creating software products that are a natural extension of the way people want to work.' Bria 4.1 for Windows available for purchase on the CounterPath store for $49.99 USD. The Bria Screen Share Add-in is a monthly service subscription for $14.99 per user. The Bria Add-in for Outlook is an optional one-time purchase for $8.99 per user. Both Add-ins will be available for purchase in the CounterPath store in all countries by the end of the day.
