Coterie Debuts 'The Coterie Experience' Bringing A New Dimension And Outlook To The Women's Marketplace; Partners With L2 For Educational, Retail And Tech Discussion


NEW YORK, Feb. 23, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- Opening Monday, February 27th, Coterie, the marquee women's focused apparel, accessories and footwear trade event will bring an new perspective to the industry by launching 'The Coterie Experience,' an interactive installation that weaves together the influence of luxury designer fashion brands and cutting-edge technology.

The new visual component will be merchandised into creative atmospheres from minimalism to boho-chic trends allowing retailers to create a narrative around exhibiting brand collections.

Content to be displayed will range from behind-the-scenes snapshots of New York Fashion Week runway shows to exclusive videos from designers discussing their inspiration for their FW'17 collections. To heighten the experience, attendees will be equipped with iPads to use throughout the atmosphere as a tool for discovery with visual content from over 100 brands including Alexis Bittar, Anna Sui, Cauliflower Issy Miyake, Jacquie Aiche, Grey Jason Wu and M Missoni and more.

In addition, Coterie is proud to highlight three neighborhoods within the show: ACTIVE, a collection of alth-leisure brands geared towards fashion and fitness apparel and accessories, TMRW, advanced contemporary lines and emerging designers with a global perspective, and Disruptors, a new section dedicated to brands that are impacting their category in specific areas through sustainability, social awareness and presence.

UBM Fashion and leading business intelligence firm, L2, will partner together for "Evolve by UBM Fashion", which will bring an informative series of seminars under the theme "Retail in the Digital Era Session with L2" covering key topics in the retail, digital and fashion industries.

Wih an increased focus on educating attendees on relevant topics unfolding in the current retail environment, the partnership will offer insight and direction on the current climate of the digital landscape. The keynote address will be given by Founder and Chairman of L2, Scott Galloway, who will discuss business with digital dominance, their successes and loses in the digital age along with their impact on the industry as whole.



This season the footwear marketplace grows with the introduction of Footwear @ Coterie and expansion of Sole Commerce. "The debut of Footwear @ Coterie and the enhancement of Sole Commerce during February in New York is designed as a vehicle for our vendors to close orders with retailers as well as serve up a greater assortment of key footwear brands to the eastern seaboard apparel and footwear retailers," Leslie Gallin, President of Footwear. The shows will be positioned in the center of each trade event, Coterie and the newly acquired apparel shows Edit/Stitch and Moda. Exhibiting footwear brands include Kennel & Schmenger, Res Ispa, Paraboot, Right Bank Shoe Co., and Inuikki.

The show opens Monday, February 27th and runs until Wednesday, March 1st at the Jacob Javits Center located at 655 W 34th St, New York, NY.
