Eduardo Gonzalez, the head of Conatel, told ABC Color that the watchdog also remains on track to stage an auction for 1700MHz frequencies later this year, although no concrete date has been set.*Previously, in October 2013 TeleGeography's CommsUpdate reported that an auction of advanced wireless services (AWS) spectrum in the 1700MHz and 2100MHz bands could take place in Paraguay as early as H1 2014.
