Comtech Telecommunications Corp. Awarded $1.1 Million Contract for High-Power Amplifiers for Direct-to-Home Television Services


December 18, 2014 -- Comtech Telecommunications Corp. (Nasdaq:CMTL) announced today that its Santa Clara, California-based subsidiary, Comtech Xicom (News - Alert) Technology, Inc., has been awarded a contract for $1.1 million from a major system integrator to supply outdoor mounted, high-power amplifiers ("HPAs"). The HPAs will be used in Latin America at a new earth station being built to provide direct-to-home television services. The Comtech Xicom HPAs were selected due to their high output power and overall efficiency, offering high performance at a lower operating cost than other approaches.
