Mar 19, 2013 (Close-Up Media via COMTEX) --
The Compunetix, Inc. Video Systems Division and BurstPoint announced their partnership for streaming, recording and archiving videoconferencing solutions.
According to a release, the partnership will combine the VSD Evergreen MCU and the BurstPoint Video Communication Platform to offer scalable streaming, recording, and archiving capabilities that will allow participants to watch video live or on-demand.
The two companies, along with AVer and Vidtel, will appear together on March 18-21 in Orlando in Vidtel booth at Enterprise Connect.
"The partnership reflects growing efforts by technology vendors to offer enterprise customers a broader scope of communications capabilities from a single source," said Steve Vonder Haar, Senior Analyst with Wainhouse Research. "Enterprise streaming solutions can infuse a new breed of one-to-many communications capabilities into established enterprise offerings, expanding the number of ways organizations can leverage online technologies to distribute messages to targeted audiences behind the corporate firewall."
"To provide a robust Unified Communications strategy, organizations require the reliability and scalability of all components in an offering," said BurstPoint Networks' CEO and President Patrick Clark. "BurstPoint's patented scalable video conference capture, recording and streaming platform coupled with the reliability and quality of service that Compunetix customers rely on daily provides for a 'best of class' Unified Communications solution, and now pushes conversations from one-to-one or few-to-few, to now many-to-many."
"This partnership strengthens our market strategy in the emerging streaming video arena," said Eric Murphy, Global Solutions Manager of VSD. "The BurstPoint solution enriches the dynamic functionality of our Evergreen platform and allows us to expand the market offering of our core products."
