Comprehensive Health Services Awarded Three-Year Canadian National Railway Company Contract

Comprehensive Health Services, one of the nation's largest and most experienced workforce medical services providers, was recently awarded a three-year contract by the Canadian National Railway Company (CN) to provide medical examinations for the Illinois Central Railroad Company, a CN subsidiary. CN's rail network spans across North America and reaches three coasts, providing its customers with access to more than 75 percent of the North American population and to markets worldwide.

Comprehensive Health Services will be responsible for performing pre-employment, return-to-work and medical surveillance examinations to more than 7,000 U.S.-based employees. Medical surveillance exams will include Department of Transportation, Federal Railway Administration and Hazmat assessments. Comprehensive Health Services will also provide medical consulting services to CN, which may include extensive independent medical examinations when requested.

"We are looking forward to partnering with CN and serving one of North America's largest railway companies," said Comprehensive Health Services President Gary Palmer. "CN transports intermodal containers and freight across more than 21,000 miles of track in North America, making our vastnetwork of medical professionals the perfect fit for CN's needs."

"Comprehensive Health Services has an impressive reputation in the rail industry and comes highly recommended by our colleagues," said Kathy Smolynec, senior manager of Occupational Health and Safety at CN. "The company has proven expertise in providing and managing medical examinations, making Comprehensive Health Services an excellent health care partner for CN."
