CommuniGift, the peer-to-peer gifting platform, Announces New Name: Daymaker

WASHINGTON, March 28, 2017 /PRNewswire/ -- In a note to past users, CommuniGift, Inc. announced a new name and brand: Daymaker. The executive team is excited by the company's early traction and is committed to expanding the group of parents who are able to use the platform to share the concept of giving with their children.

Daymaker launched in the summer of 2015 in Los Angeles and has expanded to San Francisco, Atlanta, Charlotte, and Raleigh over the past year. Children all over the country have used the platform to give together on their birthdays, directing gifts to kids in Daymaker's current markets. Recently the team announced plans to launch Chicago, Houston, New York, and Seattle, following organic networks of donors that have expressed a desire to give locally.

In December 2016, Daymaker concluded their third holiday season where over 2,500 donors from 50 states and 9 countries purchased gifts for children on the platform from 68 nonprofits around the country.

Daymaker is getting ready to announce he hiring of three new team members--including an executive from another leading company in the family space. The team recently closed their 3rd round of funding and will be using the capital to launch their next markets and further develop the technology for additional applications.

"We are beyond excited to bring our product and vision to life in a way we haven't before," said CEO and co-founder, Thomas Doochin. "The past several months have allowed us to reach more families and test various growth strategies, and we now have a brand that we're truly proud of. It was a fun process to define who we were, why our product mattered so much, and then to turn that into a brand. Our vision to create a new type of giving for kids remains steadfast, and we believe this was a huge step in the right direction."
