Codeship Expands Enterprise Capabilities with the Launch of ParallelCI

Codeship, the simplest Continuous Delivery platform, today announced ParallelCI, which allows organizations, from small start-ups to those with larger and more complex projects, to speed time to market with new software features and products. With the availability of ParallelCI, Codeship is enhancing its capabilities for enterprise operations by automating the process for running and testing product releases, making it as much as 10 times faster than Codeship previously allowed.

"As Codeship continues to grow, so does the diversity of our customer base. Companies with upwards of 30 developers, complex applications and aggressive production schedules simply cannot afford to waste time with a slow test environment," said Moritz Plassnig, CEO of Codeship. "With the launch of ParallelCI, all our customers will substantially speed up their build times with little effort. This directly impacts the bottom line, as developers are more productive and engineering resources can be reallocated."

Codeship empowers users by turning a manual product release process into an automated one. Previously, build or test commands used to run sequentially, one after another. With ParallelCI, the developer can now set up extra "pipelines" so they can run multiple commands in parallel, creating faster feedback loops, and ultimately getting to the finish line in the building process fastr.

"At Product Hunt, we use Codeship as the backbone of our team's test and deployment processes," said Andreas Klinger, CTO of Product Hunt. "When our development team expanded, we needed to switch to Continuous Deployment and were looking to streamline our internal processes, reduce repetition and increase confidence. With Codeship, we now deploy several times a day to production and have a simple approach that allows our developers to feel confident from day one."

Early users of ParallelCI have already doubled their test and build times, allowing developers to significantly improve their productivity, streamline the team's overall workflow and reduce the burden on engineering resources. The launch of ParallelCI is the first of several enterprise-grade enhancements to Codeship planned for 2015 that will provide greater support for the company's growing customer base of more than 10,000 active users.

"Deploying and managing code before it's sent to production can be a long and tedious process," said Alan Johnson, co-founder of Treehouse. "With Codeship's ParallelCI, our run and test times have been significantly reduced by 50 percent, allowing us to focus on other important projects. We're constantly amazed at how easy Codeship is to use and how well it has met our Continuous Delivery needs."

ParallelCI is currently included in Codeship's paid plans. Existing customers will receive access to ParallelCI automatically. For more information, watch Codeship's video at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=r_vd9cNS4WU or visit https://codeship.com/features/parallelci.
