Code Green Networks Announces Key Executive Appointments; Seasoned Industry Veterans in Engineering, Finance, Marketing, Sales Join Co-Founders in Building Enterprise Content Security Company

SUNNYVALE, Calif. --(Business Wire)-- Feb. 7, 2006 -- Code Green Networks, a provider of enterprise content security solutions, today announced the appointment of five new executives: Bulent Erbilgin as vice president of engineering; Robert P. Verheecke as senior vice president and chief financial officer (CFO); Richard (Chip) Hay, Jr. as senior vice president of marketing and customer care; Mark Small as vice president of sales, Americas; and Mark Bowman as vice president of international sales.



In recent news the company announced that it has closed a total of $32 million in funding to date.

About Bulent Erbilgin

Erbilgin has held technology leadership and management positions, developing products ranging from software and security applications to large-scale computer systems and core-routing/SAN switches. A key member of the executive staff at Brocade, Pluris, MasPar, Netframe and Packetmotion, he holds a Ph.D. in electrical engineering from Stanford University.

About Robert P. Verheecke

Verheecke previously served as senior vice president and CFO at Blue Coat Systems, where he helped direct a major, successful restructuring effort. Verheecke has served as CFO of several publicly traded companies including Business Objects and at several early-stage technology companies, including AlphaBlox and 2Bridge. Verheecke holds an M.B.A. from the University of California, Berkeley and a Bachelor of Science in accounting from Santa Clara University.

Richard (Chip) Hay, Jr.

Hay joins Code Green Networks from Business Objects, where he led the worldwide industry marketing team. Prior to Business Objects, Chip was a key member of the founding management team of Documentum (acquired by EMC) and helped to grow the company from a start-up to market leadership and a successful public offering. Chip holds a Bachelor of Arts and a Ph.D. from Northwestern University, where he taught and conducted information systems research.

Mark Small

Prior to joining Code Green Networks, Small held senior sales management positions at McAfee, Inc. Most recently, he directed enterprise security sales for U.S. regions, as well as the government. Small has also held positions in sales and strategic alliances at Oracle Corporation. He has a Bachelor of Arts from the University of California, Davis.

Mark Bowman

Bowman brings extensive international sales experience to Code Green Networks. He has served as vice president of sales and business development at PointBase, managing director of sales development at Adaptec, and at Oracle, he served as director of its worldwide partnership with HP. He has a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from California Polytechnic State University in San Luis Obispo.

Sreekanth Ravi

As cofounder, chairman, president and CEO of Code Green Networks, Sreekanth directs the company's strategy and operations. Before Code Green Networks, Sreekanth was cofounder, chairman and CEO of SonicWALL, a leading provider of internet security solutions, for more than 10 years, from inception through a successful initial public offering. Under his leadership, the highly profitable company grew annual sales to more than $100 million, established a worldwide channel of more than 10,000 value-added resellers and developed partnerships with Cisco, 3Com and Network Associates. Sreekanth earned a Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.

Sudhakar Ravi

As cofounder and chief technology officer (CTO) of Code Green Networks, Sudhakar directs all of the company's development efforts and technology directions. Prior to founding Code Green Networks, Sudhakar was cofounder, CTO and vice president of engineering at SonicWALL. He holds a Masters Degree in computer science from Stanford University and a Bachelor of Science in computer engineering from the University of Illinois, Champaign-Urbana.
