CNEX Labs Achieves Industry-First 1.5 Million IOPS NVMe SSD Performance Featuring Toshiba Memory Corporation 3D TLC Memory With TSV Technology


Tuesday at Flash Memory Summit 2017, CNEX Labs, Inc., a private semiconductor company providing solid-state storage controllers and software for cloud, hyperscale, and enterprise data centers, announced support of Toshiba (News - Alert) Memory Corporation BiCS FLASH™ 3D flash memory with through Silicon Via (TSV) and 3-bit-per-cell (triple-level cell, TLC) technology on the CNEX Westlake Plus NVMe solid-state drive (SSD) controller platform featuring 1 gigatransfer (1 billion transfers) per second (GT/s) NAND interface speed, and demonstration of record-breaking 1.5 Million I/O's per second (IOPS) read performance.

"The power efficiency of a single TSV package is approximately twice that of the same generation BiCS Flash memory fabricated without TSV technology."
