Cloud Takeoff Partners with Texas Virtual Builders Exchange

MASON, Ohio --(Business Wire)--

Cloud Takeoff, an Ohio startup offering powerful, Cloud-based tools for estimating, collaborating and sharing digital blueprints, has entered into a licensing and marketing agreement with the Virtual Builders Exchange, LLC in San Antonio, Texas. VBX is the oldest contractor trade organization in Texas, the nation's second largest construction market. The partnership allows thousands of Texas contractors and subcontractors to save time and money while creating detailed estimates for bidding or building.

Historically, Builders Exchanges have given contractors access to bidding and planning news, as well as a local repository of blueprints and drawings for current projects. Physical plan rooms have become digital. With Cloud Takeoff's software embedded in the VBX site, users will no longer have to download, store or print blueprints, and will be able to instantly open a complete set of project douments with built-in estimating tools.

"Building a powerful new technology solution is never enough. You have to find ways to get your solution into the hands of users," said Phillip Ogilby, Cloud Takeoff founder/CEO. "By partnering with our friends at the VBX, our solution will empower thousands of contractors in one of the nation's largest construction markets to move from paper to digital, saving time and money and ultimately helping them to grow their business."

"We have considered partnering with a number of different providers of estimating software over the years and we have always weighed the options against our commitment to quality and customer service," said Michael Tollette, Chief Executive Officer of VBX. "It was clear from the start of our discussions that Cloud Takeoff is different. Phil and his team share our software-as-a-service philosophy while delivering a powerful, sophisticated tool that is surprisingly easy to use. We're very excited to bring this to our members."

VBX in San Antonio will license Cloud Takeoff's software as the service's primary blueprint viewer for its five thousand subscribing users. Cloud Takeoff will handle sales and outbound marketing for both services across Texas. Ogilby hopes to expand the partnership to include more of the nation's 70+ Builders Exchanges.

Cloud Takeoff is recognized in the 2014 Constructech 50, an annual list of the most influential technology providers targeting the construction industry.
